Marketing and Publicity

During Media Studies, we disccussed about Marketing and Publicity. We looked at the different the conventions of an house style.

They are:

• Colours
• Font
• Design/ logo
• Sound
• Layout

We settled on the idea about West Side Story's house-style, e.g colour scheme:

• Red, which connote passion and violence.
• Blue denotes the Dunraven colour.
• Yellow connote hope and happiness.

We also decided on the main things we wouldd be doing for WSS publication. We would be doing a moviee trailer and posters/leaflets. We talked about the sort of things a movie trailer would need and the sort of things we need to make a leaflet.

Whilst deciding on our house style, we looked up some of WSS's own style. Click WSS's to view. We looked at some other films' own house-style and how their cover is designed to fit certain audiences. We also viewed WSS's trailer on youtube to have an idea of how to make ours. ClickTrailer to view.
